The SILCA Chain Wax Starter Kit combines two of SILCA's most popular drivetrain products: a 120ml bottle of Ultimate Chain Stripper and a 120ml bottle of Super Secret Chain Lube. The Ultimate Chain Stripper is a biodegradable degreaser designed to remove factory grease and existing lubricants while preparing the chain surface for optimal wax bonding.
Once the chain is stripped and prepared, Super Secret Chain Coating applies a high-performance water-proof wax coating infused with nano-scale tungsten disulphide and advanced friction modifiers. This wax-infused lube reduces drivetrain friction, repels dirt and debris, and helps extend the lifespan of chains, cassettes and chainrings. The combination of SILCA's secret chain lube result is a cleaner, quieter and more efficient drivetrain compared to conventional oil-based lubricants.

STEP 1 - ULTIMATE CHAIN STRIPPER
Preparing a Chain for Drip Waxing (On the Bike)
Use this method before applying SILCA Super Secret Chain Lube without removing the chain.
1. While backpedalling, apply 1 drop of SILCA Chain Stripper to each chain roller.
2. Allow the stripper to soak for 5 minutes.
3. Backpedal for 10 crank revolutions to agitate the cleaner.
4. Reapply 1 drop per roller and let it soak for another 5 minutes.
5. Rinse the chain with clean water while backpedalling for at least 10 revolutions.
6. Dry the chain and apply SILCA Super Secret according to the lube instructions.
STEP 2 - SUPER SECRET CHAIN LUBE
Shake well before use. The WS2 additive can settle over time.
1. Apply to a clean, dry chain.
2. Backpedal and apply one drop per chain roller.
3. Let dry for at least 12 hours before riding. Allow 24 hours in cool or humid conditions.
For best results, apply after your ride so it is ready for next time.
Maintenance
Reapply every 320 km, or when the chain becomes noisy.

Apply: 5–35°C
Store: 5–30°C
Note: In freezing conditions, the lube may thicken. It is still safe to use, but the nozzle may need clearing with a needle.
