SILCA Super Secret Chain Lube combines a high-performance wax blend with nano-scale tungsten disulphide, one of the lowest-friction solid lubricants available. As the carrier evaporates, it leaves behind a durable wax coating that reduces metal-on-metal contact while repelling dirt, dust and road contamination.
Originally developed as a drip-applied alternative to immersive hot wax treatments, Super Secret delivers exceptional drivetrain efficiency and long-lasting protection. The advanced formulation penetrates deep into chain rollers before curing into a clean, dry wax layer that helps extend chain, cassette and chainring life while maintaining smooth and efficient power transfer.

STEP 1 - ULTIMATE CHAIN STRIPPER
Option 1: Preparing a New Chain for Hot-Melt Waxing
Use this method before waxing a new factory-greased chain with SILCA Secret Blend Hot Melt Wax.
1. Submerge the chain in SILCA Chain Stripper and agitate for 30 seconds.
2. Let the chain soak for 5–10 minutes.
3. Agitate again for 30 seconds.
4. Remove the chain and rinse thoroughly with water.
5. Place the wet chain directly into the hot wax.
The remaining water will boil off during the waxing process, leaving the chain fully waxed and providing up to 30% longer wax life compared to traditional cleaning methods.
Option 2: Preparing a Chain for Drip Waxing (On the Bike)
Use this method before applying SILCA Super Secret Chain Lube without removing the chain.
1. While backpedalling, apply 1 drop of SILCA Chain Stripper to each chain roller.
2. Allow the stripper to soak for 5 minutes.
3. Backpedal for 10 crank revolutions to agitate the cleaner.
4. Reapply 1 drop per roller and let it soak for another 5 minutes.
5. Rinse the chain with clean water while backpedalling for at least 10 revolutions.
6. Dry the chain and apply SILCA Super Secret according to the lube instructions.
STEP 2 - SUPER SECRET CHAIN LUBE
Shake well before use. The WS2 additive can settle over time.
1. Apply to a clean, dry chain.
2.Backpedal and apply one drop per chain roller.
3.
Let dry for at least 12 hours before riding. Allow 24 hours in cool or humid conditions.For best results, apply after your ride so it is ready for next time.
Reapply
Reapply every 320 km, or when the chain becomes noisy.
