Omius

Omius utilises graphite technology, integrated in the design of caps, headbands and visors to amplify the body's natural cooling processes. By absorbing moisture into porous graphite, and creating a larger surface for evaporation, the caps help to extract heat from the skin and deliver sustained cooling.

 

In 2013, founder Gustavo Cadena, an Engineering and Physics student at Tec de Monterrey, sought a better way to stay cool in Mexico’s scorching climate.
Recognising that textiles trap heat, he experimented with thermoelectric modules, robotic jackets, and air-conditioned gear before developing a revolutionary heat-sinking material. Now worn by Olympic and Ironman champions, Omius headgear is just the beginning of a mission to help humans adapt to an increasingly warmer planet.
